The 2026 AD/PD Conference in Copenhagen brought together researchers, clinicians, and industry experts from around the world to advance the understanding, diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. Noselab was proud to participate in this important scientific exchange and present new findings on biomarkers collected at the Brain–Nose Interface (BNI).
At AD/PD 2026, Noselab presented its scientific poster “The Brain–Nose Interface (BNI) as a Gateway to Brain Pathology: Proteomic Profiling of Nasal Fluid from the BNI.” The presented research highlighted the potential of nasal fluid as a valuable and minimally invasive source of central nervous system (CNS) molecular information.
The data demonstrated meaningful overlap between nasal fluid and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) proteomic profiles, supporting the potential of nasal fluid as a novel source of biologically relevant CNS information. These findings provide new insights into brain pathology and disease-associated molecular processes. Through advanced proteomic analysis, proprietary sampling approaches, and data-driven methodologies, Noselab continues to investigate how minimally invasive biomarker collection can contribute to a better understanding of brain pathology, disease staging, longitudinal monitoring, and future therapeutic development in neurodegenerative disorders.
Noselab was represented on-site in Copenhagen by Dr. Sabine Mertzig, Dr. Matthias Langhorst, and Dr. Xiao Feng. The conference provided a valuable platform for scientific exchange, collaboration, and discussions around emerging biomarker strategies, translational research, and innovative approaches to CNS disease management.
About Noselab GmbH:
Noselab has developed a proprietary platform making biomarker signatures of central nervous system (CNS) diseases accessible through a previously untapped biological gateway: the brain–nose interface (BNI) and nasal fluid.
By enabling direct, minimally invasive access to CNS-related molecular signals, Noselab is pioneering a paradigm shift in understanding, diagnosing, monitoring and treatment of brain diseases.
Our integrated clinical network, combined with advanced analytics and data-driven approaches, allows for precise patient stratification, longitudinal biomarker tracking, and correlation of molecular signatures with real-world clinical outcomes.
Noselab is building the foundation for an entirely new category in CNS disease management. We are partnering with biopharma, clinicians, and research institutions to accelerate drug development, improve diagnostic results, and unlock more personalized treatment strategies – for the benefit of patients, society, and shareholders alike.
